Third in the series on ‘porter’. This was how I saw him, on the days preceding this image and when I approached him, so rather than allow the situation to contrive itself, I felt it only right to portray him in this pose.

I was drawn to the gnarly wood, and the decrepit state of his house behind, and the pile of wood for next winter.

I used a couple of curves to bring out the contrast, a Red Channel for black and white conversion at 60% mainly.
