There was something undeniably special about this scene, so I simply had to capture it. In the heat of the moment, I fumbled the settings on my trusty Canon G10 and completely missed out on the RAW file, walking away with just a JPG. Still, I didn’t shed a single tear over spilled pixels! 🙂 It’s a lesson learned, and I’ll just have to come back and shoot it again next time. Thanks so much for stopping by to take a look.
Cheers,
CSJ

great composition and colours.
Nice shot. Great colours
Thanks everyone. Robert I will definitely check out that work. Thank you for the recommendation.
Was thinking … if you like Zack Arias’ video you might also like a video by Jim Brandenburg called “Chased By The Light”. They can’t really be compared but Brandenburg (a National Geographic nature photographer) also went through a period of self-doubt. He did a self-assigned project to beat it. One autumn he allowed himself to only take one picture a day; one click of the shutter. 90 pictures. Very zen. Inspiring video and book.

It’s a simple shot but a great capture. Playing along with the G10 will produce surprise shots, you did it. I like it ^^
love the tones and the way you have processed it. the stand does look super imposed on but still good. Well done
A stark reality, the booth, beach and sea defenses could be from Victorian times (except the price). The booth looks though it’s been dropped there and buried itself, I like it! Which boat is yours? 😉
Ananth: I will post the original for you to see as a link in the post later. I think some of the optical illusion is because I shot it absolutely square, and you only see the front face of the booth. There is a curve adjustment to the whole image, and a vignette. Nothing local to the booth though, sorry to dissapoint 🙂 csj
IMHO, is there any selective enhancing done? that seems to be bit artificial in this.
