Reworked on iPhone / Snapseed 2026 from the CR2 file and the Tonemapped TIFF.
Sorry for the last post, I think via Twitter a few people were edgy about the change of registration on the vehicle but it was honestly because of some law about posting registrations that we identified, and also a slight miscommunication between me and Dave (Chromasia), anyway it was simply a case that Dave had modified his plate, so i modified mine differently and then he changed his to mine by which time, it had all gone a bit Pete Tong
Aside from this, its been a strange week back, work has been a little disjointed with impending cutbacks, and I guess it was just a matter of time before it hits every level.
A weekend away was just what the doctor ordered, and I find time spent in this guys’ company inspiring. I am sure lots of you would also. A technical genius, the guy sees life in histograms and dynamic range, and I see it in 16×9, with thirds.
I know strictly speaking I shouldn’t do a 3 Image HDR portrait, as its a little over the top, but as it was of the man himself I guess DJN wouldn’t mind my abusing the technique, just this once, I promise not to do it again…………. csj

Great Shot! All the other shots you two have posted looked cold (temp not color). This just confirms it. I don’t know of too many photogs who like their photo taken, although it’s a different look for Mr. N- the last shot I saw of him was in Dubi, sipping a beer, via David Hobby. He looked a little warmer…
He doesn’t look very happy – perhaps its all that weight on his shoulder. I’ll stick to carrying one camera – one lens 🙂
He don’t look very happy 🙂 Think he’s alot happier playing in sand 😉 http://thatch.1x.com/photos/823/david-nightingale/
And he seemed such a nice fella, now I’m not sure I’d wish to meet him on a deserted train track armed with that tripod!! lol Good stuff mate ;O)
Another photographer on the hunt for that nest perfect shot!
Despite the fact that you’ve made me look like a psycho-camera-killer, I quite like this one.
Mind you, if you do do and HDR portrait again I will come after you and chop you into small 36x24mm pieces with my specially adapted tripod, then blog a shot of your remains 😉
no change there then….. 😉
