There isn’t a massive amount to say about this one, to be honest. I was wandering through Ashley Cross here in Poole, happened to glance into the window of “The Treasure Chest,” (MIIKO now) and I really liked what I saw, and simply decided to photograph it. Sometimes it really is as straightforward as that!
It turns out the image in the window is the iconic French actress and sex symbol Brigitte Bardot (born Camille Javal), captured mid-dance in a scene from the 1967 film Two Weeks in September alongside Mike Sarne. It just caught my eye, and I thought it made for a cracking spontaneous shot.
I grabbed this with the trusty Canon G10, which is a brilliant little camera for keeping on you when you’re just out and about. Shooting in aperture priority at f/4 gave me a crisp shutter speed of 1/160, keeping everything sharp while allowing me to drop the ISO down to a very clean 80.
I wished I’d purchased it….. As always, let me know what you think… csj
