‘Jo Jo’ – Poole

From Saturdays quick trip out, I shot about three images on the best weekend weather wise that we had had since xmas, feel I let myself down a bit, but sometimes thats the way it goes, the eye is either working or its not, and for some reason this weekend it wasnt… never mind. Anyway I was quite pleased with this. On my blog route I came upon a guy working on ‘Jo Jo’ , it was amongst several boats in dry dock? (is that the term) and I asked him if he minded if I just worked around him whilst he was patching the old girl up, he didn’t mind at all….he recond that she’d be sea worthy next week…..I hope so for his sake.

Also on not an un-entirely different note, I will be totalling the votes for book inclusion in 2 days and will create a menu item in the right side of this archive showing the entries that will be included. There will of course be artistic licence over new images between now and when the book goes to print, so some later images may be included. I’ll keep you posted as to the books progress and when it becomes available……. csj

very interesting lighting, even if it looks unrealistic.
I really like your aproach of colour espesially in the boat where you didn’t try to corect it(make it more white). I’m wondering about the highlights in the frame of the windows of the boat and in the very top front. Were these highlights there, made from some reflections?
If yes it looks great, If no it was brilliant that you thought about them and add them.
Great job

Great shot, I love the tones and the way the boat is almost looming at you.
Really like it ;^)
