how I use categories on id7 All the entries on id7 are placed into one of seven primary categories: six to reflect the aspect ratio of the image, and the seventh to indicate that an image isn’t available as a print. Additionally, each photograph may be assigned to one or more additional categories or subcategories, e.g. my HDR category, self-portrait category, children category, and so on.

Its the holiday season for sure, felt a little bit xmassy today, dont know why, maybe it was chicken run on the tv, or the xmas adverts, or the nip in the air outside, but something made me feel it anyway.

This shot just says to me, dont over do it, but hey have a laugh.

We were sposed to make it out tonight for the first of our staff xmas do's but Fin still isnt well, and true to form we guessed right and he was sick over both of us, and has only just settled, so it would have been a wash out anyway.

Its all a part of the process I guess.

This is an archived entry from the old portfolio scans that I have started producing, just thinking about images for the new house, the walls are all pretty much painted ready for the odd snap or two, so we are endeavouring to put some thought into where and how the pictures will look when they go up.

Just getting a few printed up at the moment, and I have some ideas about the imagery for the bathroom, etc but its not easy. I will include a little bit from friends on the walls aswell, Alun has been known to turn out a peachy shot in his time. You never know when littlen appears in the next few weeks I might get him or her to click the shutter on their first camera.

Baby nearly here now, Mel wants it out, and to be honest I cant blame her......

It was an absolutley monstrous journey from Athens by coach, well actually in any normal circumstances it wouldn't be, but this was on the 'Magic Bus', a one stop all in ticket from your chosen location to London Victoria Bus station..... it wouldnt have been so bad if the bus didnt change 20 times on the way back, it was a killer..... and a very long story...

I'd been to see my best friend on Corfu, and ran out of cash, was able to sell the return stub of my flight ticket so that I could stay for longer, but then ran out of money for the return flight, this was before cheap airlines. Anyway I found this bus ticket that could get you back for £15, and I found out the hardway.....just why it was so cheap....

This shot was of a ferral street cat in the centre of Athens in the mid afternoon sun.... it was a chance frame, but I instinctively knew when he was about to pounce......

As always let me know what you think....

A good mate, a tank full of petrol and a destination in mind was all we needed to have a bit of fun in the eightees. Matt was good at "coming up with a plan".

We didn't need much either, just his car some friends and we were away.

I remember spending a lot of time in Brighton when I was younger.

Funny now then that its one of "our" favourite places to visit.

As simplistic in its outcome this image of one of the spires on the pier summed up the light of the time. There are a few in this series, I may just post them under Brighton as a categorie in the future.

I studied photography after I left school, which actually took me to my dads' place of birth, WARE.

I went to the local Art College and studied photography under the masterful tutiledge of Paul Bennett and Malcolm Kemp, they certainly molded our skills at the time.

Rightly or wrongly, we all became quite structured and routine in our photographic approach, something I was to later realise was maybe a bit to restricting. Anyway enough on that......

It was being in and around the old market town of Ware that I had opportunity and time to take a few shots, which until now I havent really done anything with.

Let me know as always what you think.
