how I use categories on id7 All the entries on id7 are placed into one of seven primary categories: six to reflect the aspect ratio of the image, and the seventh to indicate that an image isn’t available as a print. Additionally, each photograph may be assigned to one or more additional categories or subcategories, e.g. my HDR category, self-portrait category, children category, and so on.

It struck me as I was out looking for things to photograph that so much has changed in the last 12-18 months down here, that big parts of Poole arent recognisable from when I first came down here.

Plans afoot mean that further 'investment' in Poole is planned and bigger parts of the town will become pedestrianised to cater for the extra load on the town. We've already just lost our Sports Centre, for what I fear was an underhanded way of gaining retail space eventually. I noticed that the local Bus drivers went out on strike because they are being penalised for not making targets, when the town is now so much busier.

I love this place, but I wish someone would just step back a minute and think rather than worry about liining their pockets.... It doesnt weem wholly fair on the town or its people.

There is time for change in this New Year, I hope.

On another note if anyone would like to vote for ID7 in the 2008 Photoblog Awards, here is an unashamed link to the voting page ;-)

So its raining, I dont stand a chance at finding anything remotely colorful today, and to top it all my little boy is feeling unwell.

Makes me feel strange when he's off colour, call it a bond, call it what you like, thats the way I feel today.

Anyway this shot through my office window (open in the rain)just kinda sums it up.

It reminds me of the perpetual dribble hanging out of the poor little lads nose at the moment as he gets over his cold.

OK OK I know this isnt my normal, placid kinda shot, nor is it possibly something you'd hang on your wall, but hey, its Friday, and its PHOTO FRIDAY CHALLENGE and I'm always up for the challenge.

Anyway assuming I have interpreted the word correctly, this picture kinda makes my stomach churn, especially after food.

Not expecting a comment from any of you tho....

Was found on the floor of a Cafe at a filling station on the highway North of Perth, heading to a sheep station and then onto Sharkbay. Put me off my kangaroo burger!

So whilst out walking today, we came across a French street market selling fresh Non-EU regulation fruit and veg, it looked great I picked up an artichoke and a few figs. Mel was winging about her feet, and other bits of her body aching with the bump getting bigger by the day, so we headed back, and I fancied capturing the essence of the veggies with a couple of shots.... wierd day today, it just kind of disappeared.... with coffee and lunch and a movie.... I guess thats what weekends are about tho...I thought to post this image during the break in "Theres Something about Mary".....

As ever leave a comment.
