Well this image is part of a pair, the other image, which I will post soon was a runner up in the Benson and Hedges Gold Awards and one me a place in the touring exhibition and some publicity during my formative years as a photographer.
Themed from a set of images I had seen on the human body, I used a Sinar F1 with a Polaroid Back to create the original, which I then loosly manipulated with some bleach toner, and then finally re-photographed the composite using a 5"x4" FP4 neg. Then printed again, and bleached in final printing to produce the result.
Hasten to add, that I stopped after doing the hands and feet, as it was a lengthy process to get it looking rustic ,and I had other images to take.
These aren't everyones cup of tea, but they were popular at the time, and were some f my earliest print sales.
